MILTON WATERMAN HAS BEEN BUSTING TAIL.

My longtime cameraman has been missing from the hotel, he's been working on some mighty interesting projects, and all I've heard over the telephone lately is clicking. Folks, I believe we have ourselves a situation.

Now, let me tell you about my buddy Milton Waterman.

Milton didn't make it to the hotel last night. He told me he was finishing up on some cool projects he's been working on for yours truly.

The guy is a nerd. Complete shut-in. I reckon if sunlight knocked on his front door, he'd ask it to make an appointment.

But Big G loves him like he's family, and that was enough for me.

BIG G LOVES HIM LIKE FAMILY.
And that's good enough for me.

Milton has been my cameraman for as long as I can remember. He's a shy creature of shadows who doesn't quite fit in anywhere. While the rest of the world goes about its business, Milton sees things through a lens.

He's a sweet fellow, though he can have a temper on him. He's usually got that clunky camera nearby and his cute little dog keeping him company. That's Milton Waterman for you.

Now, I appreciate a man who knows how to keep himself occupied. I appreciate a man who works on his craft. And I especially appreciate a man who can get things done without needing a marching band to follow him around announcing it.

Milton has been putting in the hours. He's been showing me some of the projects he's been working on for me, and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

THE INVESTIGATION

SOMETHING IS GOING ON OVER THERE.

Here's where things start getting interesting.

When Milton calls me these last few days, all I hear is:

Not sure what the hell is going on.

Could be a keyboard. Could be some kind of machine. Could be Milton sitting in a dark room with seventeen wires, a screwdriver, and a plan that nobody else on this earth could possibly understand.

Whatever it is, he's been at it for days. And when a man who usually spends his time looking through a camera starts making enough noise to sound like a small factory, I tend to pay attention.

Now, I could ask him a dozen questions. I could demand a full report. I could send a representative to investigate the premises.

But I'm going to do something a little different.

I'm going to let Milton cook.

A WORD ABOUT MY FRIEND

Jokes aside, Milton's a good man. He's been my cameraman for years, he's been working hard on these projects, and I'm proud to call him my friend.

Good work deserves recognition. Good friends deserve recognition, too. And a fellow who has spent years lugging around a clunky camera deserves a little credit when he's got something cooking.

So here's to Milton Waterman: cameraman, friend, dog enthusiast, shadow dweller, and a fellow who's been busting TAIL.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he's been working on. When the time comes, you'll understand why I've been keeping an eye on the situation.

Until then, if you hear clicking coming from a dark room, don't panic. It might just be Milton.
